So it really comes down to the number of strikes and latitude in using them as far as dismissing jurors is concerned. Sometimes there isn't that much room for stikes unless clear cut issue that is specifically stated and a judge agrees on. Often they only get a few free strikes (without stated reason). So personal factors sometimes don't matter that much unless your the top of the list to go in one sides eyes.
I have never been called but have been told a couple times no prosecutor would want me if knew about my background since I have done research on "eye witness testimony", "pre-trial publicity", and memory. We actually managed to get permission to tape a couple trial deliberations. This is pretty much unheard of so pretty cool.
