Need to purchase a new refridgerator...door is bent on the one I inherited with the house and it seems to run forever and ever. Seal doesnt do it's job like it used to, the unit is 10 yrs old, but cools just fine. I hate to contribute to this throwaway society we currently live in, but I think the newer Energy Star models are so much better, from what ive read. Bottom freezer units are not as efficient as the old stand by top freezer ones, and the side by side doors are the least efficient. French doors with bottom freezer are the most expensive, except for the cabinet depth units which are premium priced. Who has a bottom freezer design, and do you still like it now that you have it home? Is it really more ergonomic as promised? The ratio of accessing the fridge part -vs- the freezer is somewhere around 7 or 8 times out of 10, Im told. Opinions ?
