So I had been working with a real estate agent (never signed anything) here in Michigan and I haven't seen a house from him that I really want to buy. He has shown me quite a few and offered good advice though. Recently, I found a home that is "for sale by owner" and I'm probably going to put an offer on it. What is the usual etiquette in terms of including or not including the real estate agent on the deal. I don't think I'm legally obligated in any way, and it would be nice to help him out, but I can't afford to give away a significant amount of money for a house I found myself.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
