I remember those films from Driver's Ed in Michigan... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: When I grew up in Ohio, the Patrol had actual films>, Mike in Anchorage, Tue, 4 Jul 2006 10:22:14 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The head of the Driver's Education Team at our high school in Michigan always showed the Ohio Highway Patrol films. One was titled "Mechanized Death", I can't remember the title of the other.
I do remember seeing a crashed car with a boulder sitting in the driver's seat where the driver was seated before the crash, and maybe after too. Also a crashed car being removed from the scene of an accident only to discover a toddler's body beneath the car.
Definitely were graphic films. But if the intent was that we 16-year olds would never forget what we saw, it worked. 34 years and counting since I saw these films.
