The guy also worked on German cars, aren't Germans known for superior engineering, so that could possibly carry over to those who work at German auto repair shops ?
See my post on using "reservation gas" and throttle body failure - but that came from a service manager at a Saab dealership, he was for the most part a shirt and tie guy.
