My mom drove a 2000 Chrysler Town and Country back in the day. We bought it used and ran CarFax on it. It turned out that there was an accident report on it. We got it up on a lift to look at the underside and found some damage that was repaired along the passenger side. Now we knew why the front passenger door didn't close correctly and that side of the car rattled like hell. April 2 years ago she was rear-ended by a Saab 9-3 convertible coincidentally. It did okay- just needed a new bumper and the bumper brackets bent back. Then January last year she was hit head on by a Toyota pickup that came into her lane on an icy morning. The airbags were still there, and luckily she kept getting into accidents where the impacts weren't in the same place as a previous one. Luckily the 3rd finished it off and insurance gave us some money. She replaced it with an '05 Town and COuntry Limited with no accident history. I attached a picture of the last accident just for hahas. Moderate impact damage usually means a lot of damage. And, no offense, but Saturn Ions are pretty unsafe cars to begin with. With the front crumple zones already compromised I don't think you would do so well if you were to get hit again.
