You didn't say which car you have, but the booster is powered by vacuum (unless something has changed) and the only thing that can make a high-pitched noise is a vacuum leak. Has you dealer verified that there are no leaks in the vacuum hose? They need to test the booster by using a "tee". One leg goes to the vaccum hose, one to the boooster and one to a vacuum guage. If there is a leak, the guage will show the vacuum decreasing. Does the car run OK otherwise?.... Ron
