Some insurance companies do not charge adequate premiums to fairly pay claims. How is that not a scam? They charge for what they know they cannot deliver. Just about anyone who has ever had a major claim knows how insurance companies screw their customers. There are still unsettled Katrina claims.
Insurance companies always cry when the claims come in, but are happy to take your premiums. If they price it right they should make money regardless. They cry cause the didn't charge enough up front.
I never said there are no areas where people should be restricted from building. However, to suggest that anywhere a private insurer will not insure should be restricted is overly restrictive.
Should people be allowed to build in Houston? NOLO? California? Disasters happen all over and there are only limited areas where it becomes a repetitive insurance problem.
If you don't like debate, don't post.
