Personally unless you drive an outrageous amount related to work I'd ignore any sort of savings calculation for driving related to work (consider any potential savings your cushion). It isn't all going to be realized anyway. With more time on your hands you might be driving more for non-work things such as events and just more time poking around places locally and in region. Also if your going to be looking for new job and possibly even relocating you may have travel costs associate with this that aren't covered by reimbursement. Unless your sure you can cut the cost out don't count it as a savings.
Sounds like you might already have it but I'd simply get real detailed list of your current liabilities and expenses. Personally until recently I have never really tracked these but have begun to with threat of outsourcing looming want to know exactly what my cash flow is and where going. The little things and one time items that don't seem that bad if your just eyeballing it really add up.
