Yes the Jap cars especially Honda, Toyota, and Acura are far more reliable and resale numbers are better are usually you can find these dealers within an earshot of where you live but they are boring lifeless cars who don't have the soul of a SAAB. If you want a more reliable car stick to Honda but if want to grin from ear to ear when that turbo WHOOSH.. kicks in , the Saab wins hands down, not to mention a pretty damm safe car. Saabs repairs are costly, mind the never endind rattles you will probably never find in a tight built Jap car. There is a very limited Saab dealer network most Saab owners I know drive 3-4 hours to the nearest dealer (take about dedication, and a lot of free time!!) around the country and some states don't even sell Saab! Try getting your car fixed in Mississippi!! But if you can stomach the repair bills, ver expensive parts and hard to get, and forget about the poor resale values, because most of the country does not give Saab the respect it deserves, and enjoy driving a car that is not seen too much in the road , and love the safety features and turbo rush, then buy a Saab. GM saved Saab from the grave and now Saab has been doing admirably in this tough car market in America.
