As much as I wanted a 9-5 Aero Wagon, it couldn't remotely handle our needs as parents of newborn triplets. On the other hand, our Land Rover Discovery II carries everything we need, seats up to seven, has unstoppable 4-wheel drive technologies, and like Saab, better quality than most people realize. Interesting features too - like heating elements in the front windshield and side windows, not just the rear. The ability for third row seat passengers to access their seats from the rear - a necissity when you've got three car seats across the back seat. Traction control system for each wheel. Hill decent control - slippery hill? Press the HDC button, take your feet off the pedals and the truck will drive itself down the hill. Rear seat stadium seating plus alpine windows - everyone gets a great view. And on and on. Also like Saab, Land Rover is an interesting brand with a lot of unique heritage...
Bottom line is that sometimes a car or station wagon just doesn't cut it. BTW, my other car is a '99 Saab 9-3 SE...
