Mentioning H2s just reminds me of a question thats been nagging me for a while - since the last time my city was placed in gridlock by hordes if high end SUV driving 20 somethings (i.e. during the NBA playoffs)....

How many of those H2s, Escalades and Navigators are going to be repo'ed 6 months after they're bought. Maybe its just the culture of the region of the country I live in, but it seems that so many of the drivers are clearly living well beyond their means.

Maybe my biases are showing, but it just seems like a significant number of vehicles in the H2, Escalade, Navigator category are purchsed by overly image sensitive younger people (20 somethings, not teens) who are trying to impress their friends and possibly the entire world. People like that far too often live way beyond their means.

Statistics on bankrupcies and foreclosures are widely published. I'd like to see some statistics (broken down by make and model) of automobile repo's. Call it a gut feeling, but I would not be at all suprised if repo's for certain luxury SUVs were significantly higher than other vehicles (even those sedans at similar price points).
