I got chauffeured around Munich last March in an '05 740 and that was an amazingly nice car. Very comfortable and with lots of toys. I can only imagine the 750 is a whole 'nnother level.
The other ride that week in Germany was a new A6. That was more Saab-like. I think I actually liked it better. It was a "car" as oppposed to being like a limo, if you know what I mean.
But I really have to go drive a Bimmer sometime. I like them as cars, but so many people seem to drive them as status symbols that I tend to ignore BMWs--and wouldn't buy one. Still, a friend just bought a CPO 2002 530, and another friend has a 2003 530 that I was in last week. Really nice cars.
While I think of my 9K as being fairly refined, getting into cars like an A6 or 5-series makes it obvious are at a different level--at least in terms of luxury. Not worth it to me, but still at a different level.
