Well, I will be in a 9-5 before too long. We're replacing my wife's Exploder with a 9-5 SportWagon (so we can become cool people!) and we're both looking forward to it. We'll get it used (our norm) and we'll finally be an all-Saab family. It'll be fun to have both older and newer Saabs in the driveway!
Yeah, I know the 9K is a 20-yr old design. But it works for me, especially since I don't have to commute and it's wonderful on the 4-7 hour trips I do fairly often. And it's great for loading a ton of stuff into and throwing my kayaks on the roof. What I do think of is how well it still compares in terms of performance to many newer cars. It's not as quiet or refined to drive and be in, but it holds its own on the road. Plus I can fix it and my daughter's '95 CS without a lot of trouble.
