....if you are sellin' Saabs again, if and when something good ever happens...remember the 9X...now that would get me excited..I'm coming to so. Cal to get my next one!
Mike find a well maintained '91 9000T stick and drive the stuff out of it...then you'll understand what I miss...
I go back and forth with you because I miss the community...but NOT the new cars. Now I hear about a potential GM/Chrysler blend....if Ford would join up too, all the whinners could be together.
You know you can always depend on me for a reply. You might try actually driving a new G and a new M. They are not your 80's Japanese. When I put my foot into that throaty 6 and whip around a curve, I can almost forget I'm in a fussy Japanese luxo...it is good...
The 9-5 was leased with 25/yr for 3.5, and the mileage started at 8200 as it was a service loaner. The car was nearly perfect after 50k...only left me on the side of the road twice...65k locked up plastic pulley, and 70k water pump...compared to the first 50000, that was wonderful. The first year resids on the 9-5, esp the wagon were a mite hopeful. I couldn't lease a 9-3 for the same deal/$$$$ 3.5 years later....guess someone caught on...
I was way past ready to return to the older Saabs anyway. I really enjoyed the nearly 3 years of an '88 convert and the '91 9000. Both are still in happy Saab homes in Birmingham. But for the time required to take care of them, I still would be driving them. When my lease is up Zak will be 4....maybe I'll have a little more time then...or maybe Saab will have something exciting again...and you'll be selling them again...
