to buy the JT is genuinesaab / Taliaferro, who are a site sponsor. To buy the JT with a cat is very expensive, most people here just seem to buy it without and buy a cheap Catco or other aftermarket cat. I remommend going with 3" also. If you are in a state with very strict emissions, there are questions about the durability of Catco cats, such as only lasting 3 or 4 years. But, since they are only $100 or less, that's not so bad, IMHO, if you do ever need to replace one. I very much like the method of installing a cat that Zeke/bleke used on his car, and mentioned int his thread - cut out the flexible section of the JT downpipe and weld a cat in there. You may have to do a little engineering/customizing so that the new downpipe is the correct length to match your existing catback anyway, since the JT system is based on the 1992 9000 Turbo. If you buy the entire 3" JT system, it is not designed to have a cat, so you will have to decide where to add the cat. I recommend you have a flexible piece somewhere, in case you ever back your tailpipe against a curb, you want something to absorb the impact so it is not transferred to your turbo. If you have a full 3" JT exhaust, the general consensus is that it is louder, though really only noticeable at WOT.

Some people on here have used T54boost, it basically seems to be a fancy manual boost controller. There are very different feelings about these, I even used an MBC on my car for a short while, but I really cannot say I would recommend using them. By using one, you are losing all of the protection built into the Trionic management system, all for a slightly faster spoolup.

Used ECUs do come one here from time to time - keep watching the classifieds. There were TWO (one abbott and one SQR) on flEabay last week, though I've only seen about one every few months come up normally.
