2 plus months ago my turbo blew. After taking it off I sent it to Jak who had to rebuilt as a T3/60 63 clipped. I put it on and took it for a ride. After driving it nice and steady for 1\2 and hour it finally cleaned out all the oil that had caked itself in the dp. On the freeway I went. I have a long uphill so I got on it hard in 4th and fifth. Forgot to mention that I took the helper spring off the the wastgate so baseboost was only 6, plus I dissconnected the water injection; 91 octane as well. Max boost was set at 16 and I pulled 16 psi all the way up the hill without it ever backing off. Put helper spring on and went out again 18.5 psi all the way uphill with out a prob. After driving it for the last 3 days I have to say that the car performance wise has changed completley. This is a great upgrade for the old 900's. Now I just have to fix the leak coming from the oil return pipe on the turbo-not fun.
It amazes me how fast this old car still is with over 220,000 miles on it.
After I clean it up I have to sell it-oh well I guess. That is if the wife lets me keep it for the hell of it-not!
I also installed a solid tranny mount which causes slight vibration at idle but shifting has never been better. Especially after I found that the old one was ripped to shreds.
