its sludge in the oil pan
junk builds up in the pan & reduces flow thru the oil pick up screan & then at high speed the remaining junk gets sucked up against the screan & blocks it off altogether, the the engine gets starved for oil & you get bearing failure
the answer is regular oil changes, like 3000 miles & synth is less likeley to sludge but the best thing to do is pull the oil pan & clean the junk out of it mabey every couple of years
