julians engine is fine :-) Posted by jak [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: How many miles did you get before needing a rebuild?, mikey, Sat, 25 Mar 2006 08:02:11 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
at 100Kmi he wants to come down & do like a stage6+ on his car & thats why he wants to do the rebuild :-) nothing is broken
if one is to install OE sized forged pistons its a good idea to do it with lower milage on the engine so that the cylinder walls are nice & strait, hopefully, :-)this way the pistons can be changed in frame & save allot of money on labor
I think Nick T ran a TD04HL18T on his car using stock pistons for a while & if I have it rite he pulled the engine apart & put in forged pistons with the engine intact
the breakage on the erly B235s was as much due to the SW as it was the pistons
we are verry careful when tuning to use later versions of T7 files & keep knock protection well intact
you are actually safer with a tuned T7 file then with an erly version OE T7 file on your car so check if the campaign was done on your car & if not go in & have it done :-)
have a great night
