this is a little crazy but stay with me. Car is lowered with H&R/Koni combo. The rear sits perfect, but the front is still a little high. I like the slight nose-down look for an aggressive stance. That being said, I started looking into possibly shaving the rubber spring pads at the top of the strut. BMW cars have different thickness spring pads based on model so that adjustment of height can be done in 5mm increments. For example, the 540 has one thickness, whereas the 540 M-sport has a thinner pad, and the M5 has still a thinner pad. I know this because my best friend is a Bimmer fanatic and we lowered his 5 series a few weeks back. We went thru this same thing. Once we got the thinner pad, all was well. You can effectively fine-tune the ride height to a degree this way. I've tried to talk to the SAAB dealer to find out if all spring pads are the same thickness on the 9-5's but they are retarded as we all know and can't seem to understand what I'm asking. Anyway I may be reducing the thickness of the ones I have to get more drop, albeit 5mm or so. Any thoughts, ideas, or warnings are appreciated guys. Cheers.
