I will keep you posted on what I find. It should be fairly easy to find rubber in different thicknesses that is close in density, either from another car or industrial application. After that all we need is to cut it to the proper diameter. When we took the BMW apart, his pads had a 'step' or offset where the end of the coil 'sat' in, whereas my SAAB was just a flat disc, since the coil intself wound around to a flat plane. This would make it easier for us SAAB guys to find a solution for a change - imagine that! Good luck and as I said I will keep you guys posted. Cheers.
