If you increase the boost in any way you need to get more fuel to the motor. Larger FPR, Jak's ECU, RRFPR, bigger injectors are all options.
I feel the biggest problem with the stock IC is it's location. Throwing a fan on there help but you are MUCH better off getting a properly built IC up front out of the engine compartment. The air especially in hot weather & also when pushing the car is simply to hot. When I had a stock IC I would remove my pass side headlight which drastically helped however the air in there was still to hot.
Using a bigger IC which cools the air better will allow you to run less boost with the same power you have. How much less boost depends on how good the IC is :)
Since Jak messed with the LH ECU's I think your best bet is to get one of his mapped ECU's. This will allow your car to run properly with more boost, bigger IC, bigger injectors & a bigger turbo if that's what you have.
