hey dean a bit on C900 ICs & fueling stuff Posted by jak [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: A question about boost levels in the C900, Dean, Tue, 20 Jun 2006 21:01:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
a better flowing IC in your C900 will reduce exhaust backpressure by reducing intake restriction & bring down intake air temps because the compressor isent cavitating so to speak trying to push thru a restrictive IC so you are resucing heat by letting go of it on the exhust side as well as not producing as much on the compressor side.....
so if the intercooler is more efficient at removing heat as well you are stoked :-) fans are allways a giid idea on a sidemount no doubt....
AMMs on C900s hit 5 volts pretty erly & the ECUs hit 100% injector on time really erly too so moving allot more air when you are allready all the way up on the load axis thru the RPM spann will cause leaner running.
what allot do is to put in bigger injectors with a RRFPR, the ramping up of the fuel pressure combined with the charicteristics of the ECU & AMM I mentioned cause a nasty rich spot in the mid range in order to maintain enough fueling later in the RPMs to prevent leanout.
when I write chips for C900s I mod both the main fuel map & the WOT multiplyer in order to make it hit 100% injector on time later & to keep closed loop operation durring part throttle this gets rid of the nasty rich spot under WOT as well as reduced the % on time which jeeps the injectors a little cooler & fueling a bit more acurate :-)
have a great weekend
