Ok, to clarify what i said in the orifice thread: you probably have the APC too high. P and the wastegate pressure do similar things, so wastegate could be high too. I found that with a base boost higher than spec, P needs to be lowered to avoid overboost in the peak around 3000rpm, and to retain stable boost (doesn't wobble without a ping) in the high end. Once that stability is found, you can turn F up to desired high end boost. I'd reset the APC to no higher than the redbox spec for the time being. (that's 23.2kohm for P, and 295 ohm for F). Timing has alot to do with all of this, so you may have to alter these settings once the BTM is configured right, but you've gotta start with it working before you go on to tweaking.

Your advance module sounds like about right, but i would verify the actual timing changes with a timing light and mityvac. a static timing lower than stock should be giving you horrible low end torque. I would suggest between 18 and 16. The reason to retard it, is if you get a ping at mid boost.

Does the "misfire" feel like you hit a brick wall? it probably is the fuel cutout switch.

The Orifice would have to be installed on the manifold side of the bleeder. The idea is to restrict the airflow into the lines that are being vented. Without it, the air is coming from the manifold quicker than you can bleed it off.

A relieving pressure regulator should be available from the likes of McMaster. it's a reasonably common pnumatic component, and should be like $20-30. Make sure you get a reliving type (air can flow backwards if the downstream is higher psi) normal regulators work like a check valve, so the btm would remain at the point of most-retard, not helpful.

Here's the way mines set up, which will be too aggressive without a FMIC: 20 BTDC with the vacuum lines disconnected and plugged, closer to 30 BTDC at full vacuum. Regulator set at 8 or 10PSI, max boost around 16-18. Timing stops around 12 or 11 BTDC. I also found that my BTM does not seem to go all the way down to zero gain, but i don't know if that's normal or just mine.
