A significant amount of air moves under the car while in forward motion. My car is not "on the ground", so I will benefit greatly from the focussed air push. This is a high pressure area (as noted by Saab designers who added the chin spoiler on the front for handling purposes)
Major frontal opening? Where? Headlights and radiator dominate any frontal opening (basically cracks between those components)! The fans inside the engine compartment don't affect pressure much, since it is all open underneath, anyway.
Not sure how much it really helps. Car seemed a little quicker with it to me. I do like the idea of water injection, but my pockets aren't that deep, yet. Give me a week! just kidding
