it will act much like a huge vacuum cleaner and really suck the water. I would suggest an AEM air bypass kit. This was reviewed in both European Car Magazine and it's sister publication, Sport Compact Car. If water gets into the intake, air will take the path of least resistance, which would be through this bypass valve. Cheap insurance against hydrolock...
Like that you did go with the NACA duct. Looks great! Very innovative location. Just watch the water until you get an air bypass valve...
BTW, Memorial weekend no good. Doh! Forgot I bought tickets for my wife's b-day to Eric Clapton that Sunday, and Robert Plant that Monday...
