Ims, it sounds like your car is in really good shape. I would start with all the vacuum lines and replace them all with good silicone lines. I did have a situattion start when Jak was out in Denver. All of a sudden my boost started reading 8psi lower than normal and the vacuum was also reading off from where it had been for ever.

After Jak left, I spent days tracing out vacuum lines, checking each end, cutting off the last 1/2" or so of each line, checking my bov, checking everything I could think of. No dice, still not reading right. Bought another new autometer gage, read about 3-4psi and " of mercury different.

Then after checking and checking, I just decided to replace all my vacuum lines again. After pulling off my vacuum line from bov to throttle body, I noticed a crimp in the silicone line, well what I thought was silicone, it was sold as silicone, it was neoprene line! It rested behind the delivery pipe out of view and was crimped down and this effected my boost readings and my vacuum readings.

I replaced that line with true silicone line and my car started running better and my boost showed the normal 31psi again and 16" of mercury under idle. Problem solved, took 5 days and probably checked all my lines at least 15 times!!! I missed it everytime as I had always found issues with lines at the end connections, this one was in the middle of the line! Good Luck, John
