another thought...
I've heard Volvos handle the power to the front wheels better than the Viggen's do. IF you get the viggen( which is all about GRINNING and gritting your teeth while your friends SQUEEEEL:) plan to buy the Abbot Rescue kit (http://www.abbottracing.com) to reduce the skitter dance that the front wheels do under hard acceleration, and if the 2001 VIGGEN is still equipped with Dunlop sp 2000 tires as stock, plan on replacing them with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport or Bridgeston so2 Poles right away, and sell the stock tires. This makes a massive difference in the road "feel"
From my perspective this would be the ideal M3 eater, stock, if the car had these upgrades, but without them it's irritating as hell. So you might want to factor a couple of grand into the innitial price.
My only other comment on this otherwise awesome sport's car for four (and luggage) is that the transmission is not the best manual I've owned. It's a bit of work.. long throws, a bit jiggly, and a very stiff clutch. If you're spending alot of time in rush hour traffic, you'll really notice this as you switch from the auto.
But although I gripe, I have to admit, the only thing I'd trade it for would be an M3 at twice the price.
Good luck with your decision!
