THE RANT: Sorry for the length
Do i purchase 205/45-17 or 215/45-17 iam am currently looking at the Avon ZZ1's (if i do in fact get the 40% employee discount) if not i will probably end up with Cooper Cobras (40% discount guareenteed)...what would you do if you could not get the Avon's...would you save a lot of money or invest in good tires, such as Kumho, right off of the bat.
If interested Cooper Standard Automotive has Avon, Mastercraft, Pirelli Europe under its corporate belt...although the discount on the Pirellis are only like 10-15%...i am in the process of getting details on the Avons...for right now i just need help with the tire size... i live in Indiana and potholes are abundant...i will take the wheels off in the winter so i do not need an all-season tire. I also plan on purchasing the Eibach springs within the month.
For a laugh check this out: went to the tire dealer teh other day and the general manager told me that i couldn't put those tires and wheels on my car because it would screw up the odometer and speedo...i had to explain to him the plus sizing from 15in to 17in wheels was adjusted for with lower profile tires therefore making it as tall as the stock wheel/tire...i asked him if he knew what plus sizing was and he said "no" so i tried to explain it to him with props he just looked at me as if i was the biggest idiot (teenagers usually are though!) He still didn't believe me...was i wrong?...kinda of scary that if i was right that you are trusting that man with your car! WoW! Sorry about the Length!
