in your choice of tires. 215/45 is a good size if you wheels are 7 or 7.5 inch wide -putting it on an 8 inch wheels is asking for damage in my opinion.
I have 225/45 on 7.5 inch wheels (yes, 17"). This is the best choice in my opinion because
1. they offer more traction
2. they have a higher profile (i.e more comfortable + better rim protection)
3. they also protect the rim better from curb contact.
On the downside, they slightly increase the gear ratio and performance at high speeds is slightly diminished and also they tend to follow road imperfections more due to their increased width.
I'm using this combo in conjunction with Eibach springs. There was a little rubbing with the rear bumper which was corrected by sawing of a sizeable chunk of plastic. If you notice the Viggen-style bumper, this problematic protrusion is not there.
