I bought the car for $11,500 with 58K on it in 1991 (or so). Since then I have have spent thousands repairing things (probably 10-12K over the years).. the horn, the lights (I gave up on the fogs eventually) batteries, the roof liner, window motors, gas gages, shocks, hoses, boots, joints, 3 mufflers, the ignition, fans, the clutch, the alternator, not to metion all the minor engine repairs and work I can't recall... plus all the work I have yet to do(previously mentioned - the oil-line being most major, not to forget my steering wheel that clicks and hises, despite the fuid being full), but yet I still hold on. I have two mechanics that I get mixed messages from. One says to sell it, but that I won't get much for it... the other Master mechanic says that it's in beautiful condition and wants to buy it. In fact, he has mentioned to others to inquire about purchasing it... I guess I just need to know what else (I'm sure a lot) can go wrong? The Turbo, any major engine repairs, etc. I wish I were an expert. Worst of all, my brother who has an '89 SPG wants her for spare parts (forget it!). I just want to know if there's hope for her without spending another $10,000. Here's hoping... and thanks again!
