Before you go Saab bashing (yea, I'm tired of reading about how slow Saabs are while I can barely keep up with all of the posts on this board) understand that ANY car can be riced out. Are you forgetting that Saab is an import? Maybe it's because they're owned by GM now, and yours was made by them. Mine was made by hand by trolls in Trollhatten, Sweden. Good for him, your friend's ride is a sleeper and faster than a Viggen. That ain't rice. Fast and the Furious ain't really rice, either. They have 10s cars for crying out loud. To me, rice is the classic stupidity: stickers, oversize tails, coffee can muflers, huge sound systems and ZERO performance modifications. My new category of rice, such as your friend's and what was in the flic is Uncle Bens: good rice.

People who get blown away and thought they were the shiznit deserved to get laughed at. The torque steer on a Viggen is something to contend with, and it takes a seasoned driver to harness its squirrleyness. That doode is responsible for his own excuses. Your friend is VERY foolish to dismiss ithe Viggen as a fast car. Why did Saab win at Pikes Peak last year? Gee, I dunno sparky! Maybe its the 750 hp, 0-60 in 2.3 s! On a 2.0 L engine, running 47 psi of boost, with stock compression.

Saab tuners have to be smart, by the by. Otherwise, their tuning will be for naught when they blow up 5K miles later. Enjoy your Saab, and understand that while some people think they know it all and they think that a Honda or whatever could never beat a Saab, they are wrong on both counts. Respect the Viggen; it can munch YOUR a$$, too.
