and I speak from personal experience (two years in Manchester). The British have terrible consumer protection laws, allowing companies to get away with misleading (and even downright FALSE) advertisinga and providing for little or no remedy. You have apparently been snookered into believing this thing gives 5-6 miles per gallon improvement in gas mileage. If that were true, every car company in the world would be beating a path to this con artist's door - what company would NOT want to offer a car with 5-6 mpg better mileage for an extra $50?
You need more training in science and skepticism.
Of course, it isn't just the British. We also have our share of criminals peddling junk to unsuspecting consumers. Look at the ads for the magnetic water softener ("just attach to your main water pipe. Aligns the water molecules using a powerful magnetic field..." ) - I almost die laughing before I realize how much money these a**holes are making off ignorant people.
Sorry - I lost my head for a minute.
