Friend of mine has a Golf 4Motion with the
V6 204Hp Engine. Anyways he told me that
with his 6 gear gearbox he would pull away
from my SAAB in no time.
I smiled... sure... lets go test.
So this weekend there was some OK weather
and we went north to the BAHN.
I told him... I would be surprised if you manage
to follow me while I simply stay in fifth above
90Mph. He would not believe me.
Anyways once on the Bahn there was no traffic
and we did the test, 90 Mph and up. I stayed in 5th,
no need to shift here.
He managed to stay next to me until I reached about 105,
then my 9-5 started walking away, at 120 he was behind me
2 car lenghts, trying to stay in my slipstream, but at 145
his little V6 run out of steam hehe and I simply walked away.
We then did the same test again, but I used my 4th gear.
This time it was no contest as my Aero pulled away real
nicely.
When we got back, having a beer, I told him that my Aero
was chipped hehe and 260Hp is a lot more then 204. Then
he pulled up the handling argument... I showed him the
pic of my Integrale... hehe. Wana try again? NOPE.
Regards,
Coolknight
