The previous owner of my '90 spg had the stage one upgrade done to my apc, before i did mods to my car, i was boosting about 3/4 of the way into the red zone with the apc, group6 k&n intake, and a 2.8 bar fpr (its what came with the red box apc package when my car was sold at the dealership in '90, but you probably have a 2.6 or something like that, i don't remember what the stock fpr is. but ANYWAY... i really love the stage one upgrade, the horsepower doesn't go up a whole lot, but the torque shoots up, sometimes making my wheels spin in 2nd gear once the boost kicks in hard. According to spg9 a future upgrade to stage 2 only costs 50 bucks, HOWEVER, you need like and additional 400 bucks worth of stuff to handle it, like a rising rate fpr, a nice set of oversize injectors, and maybe something else, but i'm not sure if he mentioned anything else. I hope this helps you with your decision making in some way.
