GS400 taking on a modified C900 - results??

In an earlier post titled "I was pretty surprised" (Fri, 28 Sep 2001 12:49:23), Quinn S. Kurz started a conversation about a modified C900 taking on a GS400. In that thread, there was mixed feelings about the C900 out performing the GS400 at highway speeds. If one had a C900 similar to Jeff C's they would have 230 bhp at the wheels. Wouldn't that translate into about 280 bhp (didn't do any calculations here, just guessing) at the crankshaft? Thus, assuming you had 280 bhp C900 turbo, you should be able to out perform a GS400 with a V8 motor that produces 300 bhp at the crank. Ultimately, you have a lighter car (C900T weighs about 1340 kg and the GS400 weighs about 1675 kg), a turbo, and a hp range that is very similar. Under these conditons, isn't it most likely the the C900 would out perform?
