As a former fighter pilot in the Navy, I know what it feels like to be pushed back into your seat, and I don't need someone to tell me how to drive a Saab, I'm used to putting machinery to the limits. My next door neighbor has a GS400 and a BMW540. I'm the Saab fanatic with 9000AERO, "super" 900 SPG, 2001 Viggen and a 91 SE conv. We always exchange stories on our cars. Don't get me wrong, I love my Saabs, but these cars don't compare to Lexus and BMW. My neighbor always laughs because I always have loaners in my driveway. SPG compared to these 2 cars-pathetic, drives like a truck(I know it's 12 years old. Aero drives well only on perfectly smooth roads, but still can't compete with Lexus GS400 and 540. Viggen also needs smooth roads. To the person that said a GS400 is a typical Toyota - wrong. Please don't show your ignorance on this site. If you think you get more for $10000 less than a GS, then go buy a new Nissan Maxima and save $10000 less than a 9-5 and get better performance and reliability. Maybe he is jealous he can't afford a better car. The reason I like my Saabs is that I need to carry cargo for my business and without buying a SUV, Saab is my only alternative for space and moderate fun in driving. When I decide to return to my exilerating driving experiences, it won't be a Saab.
