900 IC is fine; 165 hp capacity statement is inaccurate

Considering the benefits I saw from it, I'd hardly say that it was not worth it. Pumping 23 psi of boost through an engine requires something extra for cooling the charge air. The fan does that. Given, the 900 IC is not the best, but it is not completely inefficient. Saying that it was made for only 165 hp is like saying the C900 engine and its other systems cannot handle more than that without exploding. Lots of people here have way more HP than that, and have enjoyed lasting durability with it, including you.
The 9K IC is made for a car with more HP, no doubt. I am glad it fits easily. All I am saying is that I'd like to see the two (fan vs. 9K IC) compared side by side on the same car to see what the difference is. My bet is that they come out about even. I'l gladly admit that I'm wrong if it can be proven! Brad has installed this fan, water injection, and a few other minor mods on an AUTOMATIC 900T, and ran a 13.9s 1/4 mi. Argue with that!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: It is not the size that matters (for once) ; ) It is the efficiency of the intercooler that affects performance. Very few ICs are truly flow-through.
Alos, this install, while allowing the a/c to stay in, does block the condensor from receiving it's normal compliment of air driven onto it when operating. This might affect a/c efficiency (the IC does sit behind the condensor on a 9K, right?)
Some people still do not believe ICs are even necessary........
