Yes the upgraded ECU would work, but the boost would be a bit sluggish. A few folks have the modified ECU and the MBC.
To bleed off the pressure spike at the manifold, you need a high capacity relief valve. A bleed valve at the MAP sensor only would cause destructive knock.
To tap into manfold pressure, I put a tee into the IAC inlet hose which is rather large. Some model years might have some other hoses to tap into. Do not tap into the map sensor hose.
So tap into the IC return pipe, which is retangular at the top of the IC. I drilled a large hole into it to allow for a tube to vacuum up debris, then bonded on a flush fit rubber bung with a fitting.
