pull a max of 130 amps, which may appear scary as my Aero has a 120 amp alternator. However, many do not realize that an amplifier will generally loaf along around 5 to 10 watts of output, only dipping into its reservoir as needed. And I don't listen loud. The fact is, it is safer to have clean power on tap than to drive an amplifier into clipping and feed one's speakers distorted power. Aaron, bear in mind that 95% of car amps do not have regulated power supplies, and 99.9% of home amps are not regulated, except for examples such as the Levinson 20.6 at around $20,000 US.
So, the consensus is that capacitors are snake oil? Considering the amount of press they've gotten a lot of people have been duped :-0
