I have wipped all of the above from standstill. There are different versions of the 911, and not all of them are much faster of the line than a Viggen or even a well tuned 9-3.
The M3 auto dips a lot when you floor it. I suspect the TCS.
The S4 is good in slippery and wet conditions. On a dry road and straight line I have yet to loose. And his broother the TT80? I have lost count of how many of those I left on the line.
Don't make me laugh with the SLK! My next door neighbour is a Merc dealer. He has given up trying to outrun me to the end of road in his AMG. He thinks I got a lot more engine and conversions than I really have.
Too many punters believe the hype that the above mentioned cars can outperform everything else on the road. But the word on the street in the UK is that SAAB are fast cars. Even when the police stopped me they more or less stated that to me. So where did this reputation come from, if that rag thinks otherwise?
Granted, something like a 9-3 is a pig to get to grips to. But once mastered, it will play ball and win in the hands of a nutter or an expert.
On a side note: had this VW Golf GTi with 180BHP (recent edition) try to burn me off the road. If that's german performance, I am glad that he had a long and good look at the tail end of my SAAB.
