I have the Abbott ECU and an old hallman boost controller in my tool box. Remember the Hallman unit that you were raving about when you first got one a couple years ago. Well I bought one at the same time as well only differance is that when you got tired of the overboost and fuel cut-off problems that were associated with the hallman instead of buying a better boost controller like you did I started looking at differant ECU upgrades. The problem that I'm having is not related to the fuel cut off but to the BCP and this would be the third one that I have gone through within a year. When I recently adjusted my DTE on my SID I also noticed the code for the failure of the BCP. The problem is that my custom ECU is just using more pressure then the BCP was designed for and this leads to a breakdown of the unit. I'm very inclided to just hook up the old hallman unit but I would prefer the Abbott unit primaryly because it would replace the broken BCP totally. I know that it's probly just a bleed valve like the hallman and I would be in a sense wasting my money because I already have a bleed valve but I would like the Abbott unit because it is easy to install and adjust unlike the hallman. Eventually I would like a electronic boost controller but that is way down the road right now. I'm primarly just trying to figure out how many people on this board have had bought this Abbott unit and what type of results that they are having. Are they experiancing alot of over boost? or are any other complaints about the unit that I'm not aware of? My current BCP is still under warrenty through Abbott America and I'm sure I can get it replaced at no extra cost since it's still under warrenty for the next couple months. I then could use the new BCP as a reserve unit once I decide to add the electronic boost controller after my turbo upgrade this summer.
