closed loop vs. open loop, c900t...

as discussed in previous posts, higher boost levels compensated by larger injectors and/or rrfpr with stock ecu create unsat fuel curve at wot. when at wot, closed loop condition is satisfied and ecu ignores o2 sensor input and operates injectors from predetermined fuel map. however, at less than wot, o2 sensor fine tunes fuel curve to maintain stoich condition.
quesitons is: would it be harmful to the engine if wot throttle condition was created by throttle, but o2 sensor was still allowed to fine tune fuel curve? meaning, could the wot switch on the tps be disabled (cut signal line) to prevent ecu going to closed loop; thus requiring consistent operating on open loop. this would be an easy, simple, quick fix to the fuel curve problems. but would it be too little fuel for the higher boost conditions?
any ideas/arguments?
