agree as well. by entry level ecu i assume you are referring to something like the sds? batch fired, minimal controls, etc.? the wolf system we have been researching seems to offer quite a bit of variability in the controls. 3d mapping, sequential injection, electronic boost control, aux outputs (possible h20 or n2o trigger), datalogging, memory cards for different maps, etc. fuel and timing can be mapped with rpm and boost. throttle switch is a series of 12 positions i believe from 0 to 100% instead of idle, open loop, then closed loop, like stock lh2.4. it's price is up around $1400, but we have worked on bringing it down a bit, successfully. includes harness, memory card, ecu, hand controller, h2o and intake air temp sensors and map sensor. my hopes is that the new system will be more along the lines of the newer stock injection systems, but with the ability to adjust parameters for changes instead of buying a new chip. expect to loose a little drivability initially, but assume it will be worked out with tuning. we'll see. should be moving on it here at the end of this month, beginning of march. dyno shop we run at happens to be the dealer, and is committed to offering after hours tuning at lower rates to get me on the road. i think he's a little interested by the idea of fitting a saab with the system.
