It is my understanding that the only function of theE.C.U. is to take the reading from the o/s sensor in the exhust and determine weather the mixture is lean or rich and opens the injectors to allow less or more fuel thru the injectors. I assume that with extra boost the E.C.U. stays open for as long as it can. If the mixture is still lean then the opening of the injector has to be larger or there has to be more fuel pressure. So the three factors, how long is the pulse from the E.C.U. How large is the opening in the injector. and how much pressure does it take. My car 88-9000t with 3bar reg. 21/2 (no cat) exhust, M.B.C. The fuel meter says I'am running lean at W.O.T. So I'll put in larger injectors . If I,am then running too rich I"ll go back to the stock regulator. To me the fuel meter tells all, that comes from the os sensor. I dont know why the E.C.U. cant keep up. I'am probably missing a lot but I don't know what.------Thanks Ron
