can't compare, these are different animals
The T5 ECU's boosts to a target combustion air pressure. Temperatures, pressures, density and torque will vary. The indicator shows pressure.
The T7 ECU has a air mass meter to read and it tries to achieve a air density objective, which will provide about the same torque in different temperatures and altitudes etc. The indicator shows roughly air density.
Both ECU's create some reduction of torque in the lower gears.
And the later ECU's also allow for the ECU to provide short duration performance above nominal. This provodes a nice kick in the pants without creating any problems with thermal loads.
So why not modify your 99?????
You can get more power and much faster turbo spoolup.
