Say I were to find a metric adapter, the AN-fittings or aeroquip fittings in a 90 deg or 45 deg. configuration would stick out from the intake manifold. What I mean is by the time you screw in the adapter and the fitting the height will be too high and the braided hose will hit the intake manifold. That maybe the reason SAAB used the banjo fitting because it is flat. So therein lies the dilema. Believe me I have been looking at this for months, just like you've been looking at the fuel rail.
