I have had both of your noises!
The rotor hum is normal for x-drilled rotors (as has been pointed out). You got holes, you got some noise.
The squeaking (for me) was an aggressive metal-based Hawk brake pad. These were the worst pads I have ever had. They felt and sounded like rocks being rubbed on the rotor. You could feel it through the brake pedal and hear the squealing and squawking - regardless of them being cold or hot. They really needed to warm up to do anything, which caused poor street performance - but when I took them to the track, they still underperformed with poor pedal feel, the grating-squawking noise, and braking power that was less than the Kevlar-based pads. On top of that they are not rotor-friendly - they killed my x-drilled rotors (cracked) in one track day. I hope that your PBX pads are not like this!!
I'm only using Kevlar based pads now (EBC or KVR). They have low dust, no noise, great street & track manners.
Fixing squeaky pads in general - I second on the copper gasket sealer, and I've also had success with the Permatex brake goop sold at chain auto stores.
- not a fan of metal pads
