Doing a Valve Job, any advice...

is greatly appreciated. Right now, no mods, but I'm drooling over eventually running it up with 3 inch exhaust, chip, RRFPR, whatever. What advice can you folks give me about prepping the head for return to stock service with an eye toward adding mods as the budget allows.
The head is at the machine shop (delivered today) and I'll find out if valves or guides need replacing; are there seals that need replacing as well? (Sorry, I don't have a SAAB manual on this yet.) I haven't read of a lot of "cam grinding" going on, but is it better to change the lift and duration or is this better handled by the ECU using the stock cams? (Reminder: Aero, Trionic ECU.)
Am I missing anything?
