In the Toyota Supra community, they have delineated several general levels of performance modifications so that everyone knows what everyone is talking about. The Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo community is similar, though they have a much more structured plan.

Anyway, I thought perhaps we should do the same. Taking a page out of the Supra book, I followed their general structure and have come up with the following. I think it would help us all in our discussions and perhaps provide a sort of guide for the people who are beginning their performance tuning. Perhaps at some point, if everyone agrees, Scott could post the info as a Performance FAQ of some sort.

The only limitation is that my experience is pretty much limited to the B202 16v engine and the LH fuel injection system. Thus the list really only applies to 16v c900 and earlier 9000 Turbos, with a heavier emphasis on the former (just because it's what I know).

So, please read and see what you think. Of course, open to suggestions on where to place modifications where on the scale, but I think I've put them generally in good places. One thing I would note about the Supra list is that they have adjustable cam gears as a pretty early modification. I would do the same, but they are not readily available for our cars. I've also included a link to mkiv.com, a very good Supra info site. Search under 'Tech Articles'.
